Agboville Development Initiative was founded on July 20, 2010 when its founding President met with a couple of close friends to form an association that would carry out his vision of supporting the community they live in, particularly the young orphans. Looking back at his own life, (being an orphan at age 13), the founding president felt the need to provide help to those who are experiencing his past situation. Had it not been for the help of government scholarship system, he wouldn't have been successful and provide for his family
This vision was subsequently accepted by the small group and it became its genuine and passionate desire to play an active role in supporting their community in its continued effort toward the realization of its aspiration. With faith and a burning desire, nothing is impossible.
ADI members, having gone through similar conditions in the past which is having earned their education largely through Government scholarship, felt obliged to come together and give a hand in improving the situation, even with limited financial means.
It is especially touching to them, that many orphan children by natural diseases, civil war or AIDS find themselves in situations that they have not asked for. Without support, even the brightest ones will miss out on what is their best hope "Education", and continue on to miss out in life.
